There are 8 people on the list. Some are people also on the openip
and pleb lists; others I don't know (I'm reluctant to post names in case
people just want to lurk!).
At the moment the list isn't moderated. I could moderate it if thats
what people want (but am not sure how much time that would take up).
Or perhaps cross posting could be barred? I'm using majordomo for the
list; MHonarch for the web archive; but its the first time I've tried
running a mail list. Does anyone here know the best way to run a list with
these tools?

I don't think a list like this one can (or should) try to work out
licenses for particular groups; that would be trying to take over other
peoples work. I saw its function as more like the license-discuss group
for software licenses (before that got flooded out with spam): a place
where people could post queries about hardware licenses in the hope
of getting a sensible discussion or suggestions.
But I'm only running the list-server; whatever people want to do with the
list you can do, as long as it doesn't give me too much work ;-)
