I think the ideas of derivative work and based areso
important in hardware and we have to know how to
handle them.
These ideas came from the difference between libraries
and complete software in the software area,
teh libraries are not stand alone and they are used in
other works without any modification to produce extra
functionality to the new system.
incontrast teh complete software CAN NOT have extra
features without any modification to it.


In hardware, there should be differntiation between
the use of the hardware as is and modifying it nad
then using it.

some restrictions may help us when we have good design
because we will force companies to open source their
designs

I think the designer should decide about these issues
while designing his hardware system.
