VHDL Mode is an Emacs major mode for editing files containing VHDL code.
VHDL Mode 3.XX is the merger of Reto Zimmermann's VHDL Mode 1.10 and Rod Whitby's VHDL Mode 2.74. It
completely replaces these earlier versions. The authors have joined their efforts to support this combined mode.

- Enables simple structural composition similar to graphical editors:
- Create a skeleton for a new component
- Place subcomponents directly from the hierarchy browser
- Automatically connect subcomponents and create ports
